Clairvoyance By Lola Louise

In my review of The Conjuring 4, I mentioned about clairvoyance and inserting the gift. I know a lot don’t believe until they hear or see something that is unexplainable. Something I’ve done before and it scares me to my core. I’m going to start at the beginning.

When I was a toddler, one morning I woke up to find a man standing in the shadows of my bedroom. I immediately got up and ran to my parents saying “there’s someone in my room.” They couldn’t see him but I still could, he was right there. I can vaguely remember this day. They were on the left hand side of the room in the shadows where the lamp outside didn’t shine. He then faded away.

In 2005, I was on my way to school walking with my Dad. I was 5. It was a drab, grey summers day. I randomly looked at the sky and said “tornado.” I didn’t even know how a tornado existed at that age. It was just your average grey sky. No funnels, no storms, clouds. I continued to school. That night, my Dad shouted me down from my room to show me the news. There was a tornado in Birmingham, it was an EF3, I remember watching the clips shown of rubble everywhere. I had no explanation.

These are the standout moments for me growing up. I don’t remember anything again similar till I got older.

Between the ages of 15 and 17, I felt an icy cold hand touch me after talking to someone who had passed over. I saw a monk at the end of my bed. I got held down in my bed too. I had oracle cards from being 15 but never could use them.

At 18, I learnt to read cards. I started getting dreams with meanings, people, communication. Sometimes I would get an idea for my writing work, I’d craft a scene and that exact scenario would later play out in real life. It scared me.

In my dreams, I’d get messages from different people, stuff that I could never know in advance. I met my Great Uncle who died in the 70’s, he told me that (his wife) my Auntie, was going to join him soon. I couldn’t believe it. I wrote it down as I was documenting all messages. I saw her not long later, I wanted to tell her that I spoke to him but that’s a bit weird. I knew it would be the last time I saw her. I knew it in my soul. She died in the July.

One morning, I woke up with a message for a friend of my Mam’s, I was hesitant to pass it on. I don’t like doing these things in case it makes me look stupid. After all, she was more my Mam’s friend than mine. I did so anyway, I asked her by chance did she know a Tommy in spirit? He said you were his neighbour, he loved doing up his garden a lot, was a generally caring person. Was kind of spiritual. My Mam’s friend was shocked because it was all true. I’d never met him or heard of him.

I was once doing a friend’s oracles, I saw someone in a vision who to me, shouldn’t have been there. It was a moment of “what are you doing there?” I thought she was alive, it turns out, she’d died only recently and it wasn’t even announced. It broke my heart and made me not want to pick up the cards again.

At the start of this year, I was asked to do the cards. I willingly did. It was on the first time I’d met the person, didn’t know anything about them. That’s my favourite. I shuffled the cards and heard someone shout “Miles” in my head. Miles? Miles away? It didn’t mean anything but I said it. His best friend as a kid was called Myles. It scared me. Later that night, I had visions of someone who passed over and it broke me into pieces. I then stopped doing cards again.

It’s like someone calling out to you in your head. An intrusive voice. Clear vision. It doesn’t leave you. It comes when you least expect it.
