Tornado season is back with a bang! By Lola Louise

March 26, 2026

No joke, this March is starting like it means to finish everything in its path. It’s hitting very north and in unexpected places, sometimes with little to no warning which is highly dangerous and can result in deaths. A scary time for my American friends.

While watching Max Velocity’s live stream, 2 giant twins were heading towards an area and no warning for them. They weren’t under anything. They got a last minute warning, that’s not good enough. Given that the tornadoes were massive and were wiping everything out in their path, in an area where tornadoes aren’t that common, they should have the maximum time possible to find a safe place.

This year I upgraded to Radar Omega, so I could have the most accurate information. I have friends all over the USA who I want to make sure are alright. They deserve the best info possible. Radar is the only place where you can get up to date information as it happens, even faster than broadcast or live stream. Plus, if there’s a power outage, some people are screwed.

2 giant tornadoes on the same super cell in Illinois/Indiana. “Twins. We got twins.” Oklahoma City, Missouri, Iowa and Texas all at one time. Warning after warning. All destructive. Over 3 inch size hail falling.

The Illinois/Indiana tornado was on the ground travelling east for over an hour. Destroying everything in its path. Bare minimum in warning. It turned nocturnal and rain wrapped meaning that nobody would be able to see unless there’s power flashes.

The hook echoes on radar were crazy big and vivid, almost every storm was rotating. The app also shows velocity, I’ve been told that bright green and bright red next to each other is bad news. You can see debris signatures sometimes.

We are in 2026 and I think having barely any warning isn’t good enough. It puts people in danger. The sad thing is loads of the weather agencies have been completely defunded, some even shut down. Everyone has to heavily rely on chasers to say confirm what’s going on.

There’s currently quite a few early morning warnings in place when it’s around 6/7am there, meaning conditions are worsening and weather will be severe as the day goes on.

Shoutout to Connor Croff, Brandon Copic and more chasers who put their lives in danger to get the most accurate data out there. They really change lives.

RIP to all those who have already lost their lives this year. It’s been tragic already.
