The Sarah Jane Adventures. One of the best series to come out of CBBC. One of the most highly rated series from the network. I hate that it had to come to an end when it had so much potential. RIP Liz Sladen. Such a legend. I absolutely adored her.

Of course, THE Sarah Jane had to have a spin off, she’s a character who deserved better in the end of Doctor Who. I’ve watched a few episodes of her with the 4th doctor and it feels like he had no respect for her at all. She was treated like an inconvenience and then left miles from home when he abandoned her. The 3rd Doctor would have never done that to her. I loved that we saw her appear at later points in Who. The school reunion episode makes me sob. The fact the 10th doctor replaces old K9 with a new model for her. So wholesome, after all, she only had her best friend, K9.

My favourite episode, Day of the clown, I remember watching this the day it aired when I was a kid. I was at my Gran’s after primary school. This episode was terrifying, it still is. It’s like IT but for kids. I would genuinely say this is scarier than some of the horror movies I’ve seen. The cinematography just adds to the atmosphere.

It’s about the pied piper disguised as a clown who lures the kids in the town away. He lurks and tried to catch the kids attention who he wants. This clown is creepy as hell. If i saw him, I would scream. I’m not that scared of clowns but that episode put the fear in me.

The writing of it is so amazing. It’s a great introduction to new characters.

I think the worst scene in the whole thing is when the pied piper makes all the clowns come to live and they start going after Sarah Jane, I had to hide behind my hands. I still want to look away. If I saw animatronic clowns coming for me, I would probably be passed out on the floor. I swear horror writers need to take a leaf from this book.

The fact that Sarah Jane has seen all sorts of aliens and the thing she’s scared of the most is clowns. Relatable. She faced her fear in the end, so proud of her. Yes Queen.

One thing that is funny though is that Bradley Walsh is the clown and then he goes onto star as a new character in Doctor Who. Too good. Love him as an actor. Very versatile. I think he should do more acting.
