DCC S2: drama! By Lola Louise

July 1, 2025

My favourite came back and what a season! It went so fast, might be because they did skip major parts instead of actually documenting throughout the year!

The drama this season, wow. I was so glad it wasn’t the Reece show this year, I honestly can’t stand her or her now husband, there’s something off about how overly nice they are. Nobody is that nice and it comes off as completely fake.

My favourite this season is Chandi, sorry but she deserves so much better. The fact that these girls are supposed to be her friend and she was alone in all her suffering. Her mental health was at rock bottom and nobody cared enough to see if she was alright. You could very much see she wasn’t okay, how could they not? She made a mistake with good intentions this season by bonding with a stranger on a trip to the Bahamas, she’d found someone who actually got her struggles and confided in him. They probably got talking and wanted to go somewhere private to talk more. The girls very much overreacted about her breaking a rule. Here’s it in lament terms: would you rather Chandi harm herself? Or would you rather she find company in an unlikely place? That’s the reality of the situation. She was at that bad of a level. People are coming for her online and being so judgmental. It’s not okay. You can absolutely bet those are the same people who are like “be kind.” Hypocrites.

Armani, I love you gal. You’re showing awareness about alopecia, you’re the GOAT! You’re an inspiration.

Dayton, girly pop, why did you try out again despite failing multiple times? I didn’t think her solo was great at all. It felt basic and stiff. She’s there for her Mom, not herself. “I’ve trained all year” really? It didn’t look that way. The fact that she comes back for season 3 is embarrassing. She keeps taking up spaces of those who have potentially. Jenna was better.

It really was hit and miss all the time. We didn’t get to see a lot of the veterans apart from the 5th years. They missed loads of others out, they were almost invisible. It’s almost the last year for loads of them and we will likely not see them again except on socials.

I was quite disappointed I must admit.
