This is the most beautiful and wholesome series I’ve seen in forever. It’s so emotional in many ways and perfect for summer. I saw 2 clips on Tik Tok and knew I had to watch. It was full of twists and turns.

Firstly, Canada is so beautiful. You know it’s going to be a good series when there’s beautiful scenery. It makes me want to go instantly. It’s so peaceful and eclectic.

The series is based on Annie who discovers the life her Mom had. She travels from New York to Sterling Point on a whim to find out what she had been missing and despite a rough start, it ends up being a place she calls home and fits in with. Her journey of growth is awesome. There’s a lot of self discovery and memories from her past that pop up along the way, cherry on top moments.

Ramona, she’s lived on the island in summers, her Grandfather just died and left her the island which he owned. Annie’s Grandfather just died and left her the island too, you get my drift? They don’t know about each other and instant drama. They both shared a Mom but she died a long time ago. That part is so tragic.

I don’t know how I feel about certain moments, they still irk me the wrong way. I don’t know if I like the character of Oona anymore. She was good to begin with and then turns out she’s a bit of a back stabber. I can’t with her. She seems to throw around who she’s loyal to. She leads others on and dumps them for the next person. She’s flakey. Her sister, Maple has a lot more sense and she’s a child.

Sully is a good friend to everyone but he mostly gets used which sucks. He seems to be used for his kindness. We don’t get much character development.

Ellis lives there all year around, he’s one of the first people we’re introduced to. He’s crafty in the best way, he flies planes and drives boats. He’s adorable. He starts falling for Annie but someone she went to middle school with, Rory, keeps getting there first. He’s shy and humble in the best way. We love Ellis. His story is complicated and his feelings get messed with a lot. We ride at dawn for him.

Rory can get gone. He is so fake. He’s a liar. He was definitely using Annie and got what he wanted, her virginity while they were both drunk. It seems like he’s controlling, he wants Annie to come with him to university and tried to pull strings. He is a red flag. He hangs around with red flags.

The ending of S1, was exactly what it should be and didn’t disappoint. A life swap. Ramona goes to NYC. Annie stays in Sterling Point with Ellis.

I swear I nearly cried so many times. I have been gripped to the TV. We need more shows like this. Please make more Amazon. I hope it isn’t 2 years before S2 happens. It got renewed so fingers crossed!

The music is amazing. Loads recognisable. Lennon Stella is back with songs, one featuring Maisie. This made me so happy. Nashville full circle. Love them both.
