“Hello Glastonbury!”…
“HELLO GLASTONBURY”
“Hellllllllo Glastonbury”.
And I’m sick and tired of hearing this phrase already. Whether it’s the impotent BBC ad or John Newman substituting silence for those cries, I am sick of it. Newman’s set is a bag of cliches: a kind of Hall & Oates but without the songs to back it up. His hyper literal lyrical commentary sets a tone for a set which leaves about zero for the imagination. It really is a sign of the times that such a vanilla pop writer is bathed in litres of compliments.
“HELLO GLASTONBURY!”
