Having waited through the down pours of the day tit’s more than fair to say we were looking forward to Maximo Park’s headline set at Galtres.

What struck us the most about the band was their ability to work a crowd – having danced around like madmen for the majority of their set we got the distinct impression that they seriously enjoyed providing a great show for everyone that watched them.

As well as playing their well known hits such as Apply Some Pressure, they also played more recent material giving a good reflection of the bands overall sound, a mixture of electro synths and indie rock elements. And while we all loved the hits, its always great to hear what else they’ve been up to.
