The Horrors at Benicassim 2012

July 15, 2012

The Horrors feel as though they have blossomed into a band that are easily capable of being big headliners. Their laid-back tunes fit perfectly with the relaxed setting of FIB and a couple of catchy belters get the crowd going; The Horrors seriously nailed it with their set!

Front man Faris Badwan had an intriguing air of mystery, a rather captivating man. The great thing about seeing The Horrors was that the whole band appeared to be totally absorbed in their music – and loving it! They were great fun to watch- especially Rhys on bass, who looked like he was going to start cracking out some serious moves.

The crowd gobbled up the big tracks but the quality of the music really spoke for itself when even less well known songs went down just as well. This gig really opened my eyes to just how talented The Horrors are with a front man with a great set of vocal chords, skilled musicians and the ability to write songs that don’t sound samey. Not to mention a live performance which matched if not bettered their recordings!

The Horrors at FIB 2012 get a major thumbs-up from us. We liked them so much that we even got a picture with Joshua.
