Tetris has been out for thirty seven years, and a thirteen year old has become the first person to ever beat it naturally.

Back when we played Tetris constantly, it was believed you could only get to level 38 before the game’s speed reached levels no human could deal with. But, in 2021, people worked out a completely unassisted way of playing called Rolling which meant they could get further. More analysis revealed that the game could only go to level 155, so the target was set: could anyone play Tetris to level 155?

Our heads would explode, but teenager Blue Scuti recorded himself getting to 155.

“Oh my god! Yes! I’m going to pass out,” he said. “I can’t feel my hands.”

Which is probably the least of his problems now.
