Your scribe is a big fan of Absolute Radio, and you might be soon too if you’re one of the many bands taking advantage of the web to self-release your music.

Why?

The Sunday Night Music Club show, ably hosted by Danielle Perry, recognises that the world is changing, that entrepreneurial bands are going their own way, and is opening up a slot each week for a self released band.

“What I’d like to do with the show is to open up one space in my playlist per week for a self released artist – one who doesn’t have the benefit of a label infastructure. Especially after Brexit, streaming and recent stories of vastly increased costs for musicians to play in America, I wanted to do something that could be beneficial to the talent we have in this country,” Perry said.

This is truly the anti Chris Moyles and we applaud it.

Application details are available with the full fluff here.

If you get played let us know. I mean, let us know anyway!
