Aldi just fired off a heart warming nuke in the caterpillar wars: caterpillars for cancer

Last week, Marks and Spencer ignited a legal battle over caterpillar cakes, when they took issue with Aldi’s Cuthbert the Caterpillar, deeming it a rip off of their classic Colin the Caterpillar. The internet came to Cuthbert’s defence, but today Aldi have not just shot back, but actually done something amazingly heart warming, beneficial and good: they’re trying to start #caterpillarsforcancer
 
Sorry, what? Aldi are releasing a limited edition Cuthbert with the aim of donating profits to cnacer charities like Teenage Cancer Trust and MacMillan, and our asking Marks to join in:
 

 
Brilliant stuff from both a PR and humanitarian perspective. Also, Marks are now in a corner. This is how disputes should end.
