Arcade Fire are back with a new LP: and they’ve called it ‘Pink Elephant’. We’re expecting some up tempo bangers.

Pink E is out May 9th.

They’ve already dropped the first single, Year of the Snake and you can stream it below. Unlike the deep sadness of their last two albums, Year is a quietly euphoric song about new beginnings… which is both upbeat and hard to view without considering the recent allegations and infidelity.

They’ve called it a “sonic odyssey that exists within the perception of the individual, a meditation on both darkness and light, the beauty within” and about “that paradoxical effect where the effort to suppress a thought leads to it being impossible to avoid.”
