There have been rumours Bastille would play Glastonbury… and they already have, but with a massive twist: they went brass.
Michael Eavis did a few songs on the William’s Green stage as is tradition, and then Bastille appeared for a surprise set, joined by the ten piece funky brass act Ol Dirty Brasstards. Dan Smith of Bastille introduced them as “Tonight we are Brasstille and the Brasstards… or something,” and proceeded to play a hits set of songs specially adapted to make use of their guests.
