Black Deer Announce Artists for 2021 Festival: The First Big Weekend of the Summer

By MediaMonkey

March 12, 2021
With the government intending to open up Britain mid-summer, Black Deer Festival moved themselves a week so they could run fully: this means the festival of Americana music and culture will be held on -the- party weekend of the year, our first weekend out of lockdown. Well, if the government timetable holds, so fingers crossed.

The problems of moving a festival from 2020 to 2021, and then a different weekend, have meant Black Deer have been working hard to secure the lineup, and we’re pleased to say they just announced the first batch of artists. Robert Plant will be headlining in his Saving Grace form, as will Frank Turner who brings the Sleeping Souls with him. Van Morrison also tops the bill.

Further down there’s Jade Bird, Police Dog Hogan, Imedla May, Irish Mythen, Native Harrow, War Thomas and many more. Please take a look at the poster, with more to be announced. There’s still going to be the Live Fire BBQ Arena, the motorcycles, the masterclasses and all the deep south culture you could want in a British summer festival. Furthermore, 1500 tickets will be given free to NHS Key Workers. Black Deer actually care, unlike Boris…

Black Deer Festival 2021 is June 25th to 27th at Eridge Park in Kent. Tickets from here.
