Black Deer announce more artists: including Robert Plant
February 6, 2020
Black Deer have already announced some hugely exciting acts for their 2020 edition, including Wilco, The Waterboys and the Felice Brothers, but oh boy have they put some big names on the board today. Chief among them is Saving Grace.
Now, maybe you don’t know why Saving Grace are a big deal, so here it is: hidden behind that moniker is none other than Robert Plant, in a group with four other people performing a wide rage of material that just has to be experienced.
There’s also Sam Duckworth, another person you might know better by a previous name: for he was Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly in a previous life. He’s had a break from live performance but will be doing old songs as well as new. Then there’s rising star Jade Bird from Northumberland, and established force Imelda May, who Bono once called ‘the other queen of Ireland’ and got away with it.
There is more, of course, so much more: Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real (who worked on A Star is Born: Gaga edition), Shooter Jennings (can you get a more Americana name), Shovels and Rope, and Birds of Chicago among others.
Of course, this thread is nothing without music, so enjoy the videos below and know all these artists are playing Black Deer Festival 2020, June 19th to 21st in Kent.
