Black Deer Focus: Ward Thomas

By MediaMonkey

June 7, 2021
Can you feel it? We’re in the same calendar month as the 2021 Black Deer Festival, and it’s time to show you another of the bands playing.

Ward Thomas had always planned to create their next album in a DIY style, and lockdown really just helped: the twin sisters settled down in a Hampshire cottage with a few chickens and a lot of good ideas, creating the new LP ‘Invitation’ by themselves. Given that they’d created their debut album while still at school, we are not surprised.

Our first track is a cut from Invitation called ‘Don’t Be A Stranger’, which is bittersweet after we’ve all had to be for so long. But no longer. Someday has the pair backed by a socially distanced band and arranged in a warehouse, and Cartwheels is one of their best loves tunes.

Ward Thomas are playing Black Deer Festival 2021, June 25th to 27th 2021 at Eridge Park in Kent. Tickets from here.  https://blackdeerfestival.seetickets.com/?src=SupaJam
