Bombay Bicycle Club have solved the ‘should crowds sing’ argument by holding their own karaoke nights at Rough Trade stores.

Yep, as they put it: “Can you sing better than these four terrible singers?” “We’re the backing band; you’re the singers. We’ll be playing Bombay songs but may have a few indie disco staples up our sleeves.”

Fans can get on stage and sing, and even play instruments. Sounds a cracking time. Here’s the current dates:

August 22 Rough Trade East, London
August 23 Rough Trade, Nottingham
August 24 Rough Trade, Bristol
