Charity DJ battle pitches the music of Liverpool and Manchester against each other
We have slightly misled you, because we omitted from the title the charity DJs are the mayors of the cities, so we’re sorry. But basically, yes, in an effort to raise money for charity while continuing the friendly rivalry of whether Liverpool or Manchester have produced the UKs best music over the years, their Mayors will battle it out on the wheels of…. Probably digital decks.
Liverpool Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram and Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham (placed in alphabetical order of city there) will spin tunes on June 13th on the United We Stream website to raise money for community groups struggling in the chaos of Corona.
They will each be playing an hour of their own city’s music.
