One of the high points of industry shaking indie game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was Charlie’s Cox’s vocal performance as Gustave.

After the plaudits started Cox was a little too honest and said he feels a fraud, as he isn’t a gamer and did it all in four hours.

Then he got nominated for best vocals at the Game Awards.

Some pains in the arse on the internet started to complain, saying four hours work wasn’t worth the chance of winning and Charlie has given a lovely response to a fan: “I’m thrilled for this nomination, I’ve said this before and I think it’s important to say there’s an amazing French actor called Maxence Cazorla who did almost all of the motion capture for that role. Any nomination or credit I get, I really have to give to him because I believe the performance of that character is really down to him. My voice was just part of that process.”
