Clifton Hicks has a YouTube channel dedicated to the heritage of the banjo and the music thereof, where he dips into the deep history of the genre and plays some real crate dug material. That alone can fill up many fascinating hours, but at times he dresses up as Old Leatherstocking and takes us to the dark place.
It’s a simple design: part skull mask, part hood, part painting yourself b… anyway moving on, as far as we can tell there’s currently three performances, of O Death, Death and the Lady, and Unquiet Grave. You’ll be able to see a theme.
You never know, maybe someone at Black Deer will invoke the dark gods and Old Leatherstocking will arise from the woodland floor.
