The previous team ups between Dave Gahan and Soulsavers have been excellent, with the Depeche Mode frontman bringing his weighty voice to their music and production. We’re thus thrilled to learn they’ve combined once more, for a new album coming November 12th.

Called ‘Imposter’, the title refers to it being all covers of songs… although they don’t call it covers, they prefer reinterpretations “from across genres and time periods.”

Gahan is quoted as saying “When I listen to other people’s voices and songs – more importantly the way they sing them and interpret the words – I feel at home. I identify with it. It comforts me more than anything else… There’s not one performer on the record who I haven’t been moved by,”

And  “I know we made something special, and I hope other people feel that and it takes them on a little kind of trip – especially people who love music and have for years.”

Well that’s us.
