Actor Michael Newman has died, aged 68. He had been suffering from Parkinson’s. He had the third most appearances in all of Baywatch and among those paying tribute was David Hasselhoff.
His tribute is remarkable. Newman had been a real lifeguard and Hasselhoff said “Newman was a warrior… he literally saved my life at least four times… He was never afraid of the water. I remember directing him in a few episodes and he was really good. He became a great actor. We will all miss him.”
He also worked as a firefighter.
