Doves singer Jimi Goodwin is taking a break to work on his mental health, so the release of today’s new Doves single see band members Andy and Kez Williams take over vocals.
It’s a cut from forthcoming album Constellations for the Lonely and is billed as a song about recovering from anxiety:
“‘Cold Dreaming’ is a song about forgiveness. Trying to forgive and move on. As a minimum, these days, resilience is the thing that you need more than ever, certainly as a musician. Perhaps the lyrics do touch a bit on what we’ve been through.”
A superb return.
