Download 2021 should have been June 5th to 6th, but obviously with Covid that’s not going to happen. Instead the team behind Download have linked with Sky Arts to show a two day, free to air extravaganza called Reloaded.
Over two nights you’ll be able to see “the best Download headliner performances from the past 10 years” including Metallica, Slipknot, Guns N Roses, Iron Maiden and… yes, yes this is all repeats. But repeats are what you make of them, and a statement from the festival explained what they expect of the fans:
“We hope you’ll get involved and set up a tent in your backyards to really enjoy a taste of Download from home.” And throw cider on yourself and ruin a pair of shoes while having the time of your absolute life. Here’s the trailer:
