We’ve enjoyed bringing you the result of the Edinburgh Fringe’s funniest joke award, so it’s with sadness we report it’s been cancelled this year.
There’s no controversy, no cancellation, it’s just that the award was organised by TV channel Dave and for internal reasons they don’t seem to want to pay or run it.
It’s stopped “as our commissioning focus evolves”, as they “reflect on how we continue to support comedy in the best way possible.”
