Edinburgh International Festival is a less well known event that happens at the same time as the Edinburgh Fringe, when the British city celebrates multiple festivals at the same time. EIF is currently scheduled for August 7th to 29th, so might stand a chance of happening, and has released a full line up.
It covers a huge range of genres and styles, so we’ll focus on the indie ones: Damon Albarn, Caribou, The Snuts, Anna Meredith, Nadine Shah, The Staves, The Unthanks and Tune Yards among others. The musical events will, for Covid prevention purposes, all be in outside venues.
Tickets go on sale June 11th.
