There’s a joke going round online that says the secret to doing a good video game adaption is signing Ella Purnell. This began following her starring role in not one, but two good video game adaptions, a huge rarity.

However, Ella says that’s it for the genre. She’s said “Here’s the truth, and I feel guilty saying this, but I’m not a gamer, and I don’t know how I’ve managed to land two video game adaptations that have both been good. I don’t know how that’s happened, but it has. I don’t know the answer.”

“I actually think I need to stay away from video game adaptations now, because I’m going to get typecast. I’m going to be the video game girl. There are worse things to be than that, I suppose.”

Well, Ella needn’t worry about that after starring in Sweetpea which would be in our top three shows of the year, a comedy horror where she plays a serial killer.

Do season two Ella, do season two.
