Fleabag began as a one woman play performed by writer and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge. This then produced two seasons of the TV show which put Phoebe in the upper echelons of creatives, and went back to the stage. If you’ve ever wanted to see the stage version, now you can without leaving your house.
The National Theatre is setting up a deal with Amazon to put four recorded stage shows onto the streaming platform. One of these will be Fleabag, but another is the version of Frankenstein which saw Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller star and Danny Boyle direct.
June 11th is the day things start streaming.
