Glastonbury have been running their Emerging Talent Competition for a few years now, and it’s a very good prize: £5000 to spend on your musical development, (£2500 for second and third), and a gig in a major Glastonbury stage… oh and money can’t buy press coverage.

But here’s the really interesting thing: entries are open to every musical genre. All of them. Anything you can think of. It’s all welcome. The entries are slimmed down to a 90 strong longlist by a panel of 30 judges, before a smaller group reduce this to 8, and they play the live finals.

But literally any genre can enter.

There is, however, something you need to know: applications open 9am Monday January 29th and run FOR ONE WEEK till 5pm Monday 5th Feb. So you need to get a shuffle on with this.
