At Supajam we’ve all hoped we were reading the clues correctly, that the signs did indeed point to new Pulp material.

Great news then today, as Jarvis and company have announced a brand new album, twenty for years after the last one. We’re sure it’s been worth the weight.

Called ‘More’, the LP will be out June 6th and is dedicated to bassist Steve Mackey who passed in 2023.

Why did they do this? “We did play one new song towards the end of the tour, and nobody threw things at us, or left to go to the bar,” Jarvis told 6 Music. “So we just thought we’d carry on and see what we could conjure up.”

There’s a new single too, called ‘Spike Island’, inspired by the legendary but also not very good Stone Roses concert.
