Apparently Benedict Cumberbatch is a massive fan of Coldplay, so being at the side of the Pyramid stage and watching them perform would have been a highlight.

Except, according to Jameela Jamil, it wasn’t because she ruined it for him.

She was speaking to Paloma Faith on the Mad Sad Bad podcast when she explained how a friend had died unexpectedly shortly before Glastonbury 2024 and while she was stood next to Benedict watching emotions flooded over her.

“Now I’ve become someone who cries to ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay… I was uncontrollable at Glastonbury. And I was ruining it for Benedict Cumberbatch who was next to me – who I don’t know… So he’s just trying to listen to the song, and I’m just going – ‘ughhhhh!’”
