Lockdown restrictions in England are set to end on June 21st, and Heritage Live are going to start their summer gig series in London on June 24th, which is going to give them some nailbiting moments in the run up… but should give us James headlining this first big post lockdown outdoor gig.
It’s at Kenwood House, which is Hampstead Heath, and will kick off a whole series of shows that include Rag n Bone Man and Nile Rodgers, but support for James comes in the form of Feeder and Maximo Park among others.
Here’s a typically ebullient Tim Booth: “Right now James are in a fully tested Covid bubble rehearsing for this concert. You never really value some things until you’ve lost them – so now to be playing together in a room, to be coming to play to an audience, to be working with all the people who put on these amazing events, things we used to take for granted – we are re-appreciating in a deep way… As one of the first concerts out of lockdown, this will be a massive celebration. Let’s have a party!”
Tickets go on general sale May 27th, but you can register for a pre-sale on May 25th.
