As readers of this page will know, we’re big fans of Americana (hello Black Deer Festival), and have done a few reports on the Metallica ‘Blacklist’ covers album… well today they collide. The Blacklist is out and by far one of our favourites if the ever excellent Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit taking on Sad But True…
If you’d told us this was a Jason original (and wiped our minds of the Black album obviously), we’d have believed you. Add a video with a doomed cowboy and it’s perfect.
The Blacklist is a huge covers album celebrating the anniversary of Metallica’s all time classic The Black Album
