Until today Jon McClure was known as the music act Reverand and the Makers… but now he’s the chairman of a football club.
As people who have been aware of his music for years, the idea that he’d end up doing a discount Wrexham with Sheffield FC isn’t entirely a surprise, it feels like the sort of thing he’d do.
He’s calling it his “Elton John 1980s era.”
Now, to be fair, Sheffield FC is a very small club, but they have a claim to be the world’s oldest football club.
