Lady Antebellum change name and sue black woman already using it

Lady Antebellum recently announced a name change as they tried to distance themselves from racist connotations of ‘antebellum’ in America. The new name was Lady A and that’s good isn’t… oh, no, it isn’t, because there’s a singer using it.
And here’s where it gets weird.
Someone in Lady Antebellum has predicted this as they trademarked Lady A some years ago, whereas the current Lady A can prove she’s been using this name for over a decade, but never trademarked it. So when Antebellum approached Lady A for a deal, she shoot her shot and asked for $10 million.
Lady Antebellum have sued her in response. They say she can keep her long standing name, they just want the rights to it. A settlement beckons.
