Linkin Park’s return with Emily Armstrong as co-singer proved controversial. While we love the new music, many didn’t like either the idea or the choice of Armstrong and her past behaviour.
In November they announced a large world tour and there are signs this might be struggling to sell tickets.
The first is the band’s new initiative – dubbed Up From The Bottom – of offering a number of reduced price tickets at their North American shows. This will make tickets $39.50 plus tax and fees.
Bands don’t normally drop prices unless tickets aren’t shifting but if you’re sceptical this is evidence there’s a bigger piece: their show at the 56,000 Dodgers Stadium has been downsized to the considerably smaller 18,000 capacity Intuit Dome and fans will have to rebook tickets. Refunds are on the way.
