Learnmore Jonasi went viral a few months ago with a joke: he was on the One54 podcast and he said the opening lyrics of the Lion King’s circle of life translated as “Look, there’s a lion. Oh my God.” He did a very good job of keeping a straight face and convinced the hosts this was true.

Unfortunately, he kept a very straight face and a lot of people didn’t realise it was a joke. Actually a hell of a lot of people as the clip went viral. The opening line “Nants’ingonyama bagithi Baba” really means “All hail the king, we all bow in the presence of the king.”

Circle of Life was written by Lebo M, and he’s really not very happy everyone now thinks his culturally weighty song is about people scared of lines. So unhappy he’s suing Learnmore for $27 million dollars and saying it’s affected his relationship with Disney.

This could go badly for Learnmore.
