Lorde’s new album came out on Friday and over the weekend people have discovered a problem with it.
One of the available formats was an environmentally friendly and clear music CD. Unfortunately, many people have found it doesn’t play.
Normal CDs have a reflective side which allows the player’s lasers to read the data side. It’s unclear how Lorde’s CDs are supposed to work, just that for many they don’t.
There’s a theory it’s all to do with the date of your player, but so far it’s a mystery.
