It’s been seven years without a Madonna album, but not only will we be getting a new one, it’s a big one.
Confessions On A Dancefloor is widely considered one of Madonna’s best LPs, with massive hits like Hung UP. She’s hoping to redo the magic, teaming with its producer Stuart Price and labelling it Confessions II.
Yes, get ready to dance and dance some more.
The press release goes out there: “People think that dance music is superficial, but they’ve got it all wrong… The dance floor is not just a place, it’s a threshold: A ritualistic space where movement replaces language…. We must dance, celebrate, and pray with our bodies… These are things that we’ve been doing for thousands of years – they really are spiritual practices. After all, the dance floor is a ritualistic space. It’s a place where you connect with your wounds, with your fragility… To rave is an art. It’s about pushing your limits and connecting to a community of like-minded people.”
Let’s go.
