Madonna is being sued after her concerts start late

Last month, Madonna played three shows in New York. They were supposed to start at 20:30, but on each occasion they did not start until after 22:30, ending at roughly 1am.

Fans who had lives the next day were not happy, and now two are suing her, and the promoters.

Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden’s case states “many ticketholders who attended concerts on a weeknight had to get up early to go to work and/or take care of their family responsibilities the next day”.

They’re suing for “false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair and deceptive trade practices” because “Defendants failed to provide any notice to the ticketholders that the concerts would start much later than the start time printed on the ticket and as advertised, which resulted in the ticketholders waiting for hours…”
