It’s that time of year again, as the Mercury Music Prize has announced the nominations who will be competing for the gong. It’s a typical diverse, wonderful mix of acts, and the list is below.

The main news is that with ‘The Car’ being on the list, The Arctic Monkeys have tied Radiohead for most ever nominations.

Oddly, we found The Car terrible, one of the most disappointing albums of the year, but that’s why the Mercury is fun.
