It’s fair to say that Al Jourgensen had a terrible experience as a young man with an awful record deal that led him to disown that period for decades.
Which is unfortunate, because during it he produced legendary goth club classic Every Day Is Halloween. Not that he had to look back, of course, because he took Ministry on a superb path.
Luckily for all of us, and despite what can be described as a life of vast misadventures, Al has reached a point where he is at peace and reworking the early material in a way he feels he now owns.
Which means… we’ve got a brilliant, updated new version of Every Day Is Halloween, and more importantly, an artist happy with their work.
