So I’ve never watched Waterloo Road from the beginning in years but since Jack Rimmer is back, I thought I should. The one person that ruins everything and I mean everything is Lorna.

I have so much of an issue with her. She’s insane. She’s completely obsessive and possessive over her then fiancé, Tom. He’s not allowed to be away from her or have his own space without her complaining that “he’s distant” she jumps to ludicrous conclusions when he won’t open up to her but, can you blame him? There’s no mutual respect. She tries way too hard to lock him down for the wedding. If he felt safe enough, he would be able to open up about his feelings without worrying of consequences.

Noticing how even after their marriage, Tom isn’t happy, she devises the perfect plan “I’m pregnant” he’s still not interested so she gets an abortion then says the baby died instead. She then gets all the attention. It’s no wonder he likes Izzy, she’s chill, a good person, gives people the honest truth. She’s awesome. You’d think Lorna would get the message when they finally get together??? No, she tries to commit suicide for their attention and is so nonchalant about mentioning it. Like coming from someone who has been in that position, you do anything to avoid mentioning it, it’s painful. She’s exactly what’s wrong with people.

Tom eventually moves into Izzy’s. Lorna isn’t done, she actually makes Izzy lose her baby. Not only that, she worms her way into living there and then throws herself down the stairs as an excuse to stay. She starts faking that she’s sick for attention. She’s a pathological liar, it’s no wonder people don’t believe her. It’s wild how they can’t see what she’s like. I wish I knew why Tom was with her, it’s never even established, was it coercion? Blackmail? They are the least likely couple.

Lorna gets diagnosed with MS, are we meant to feel sorry for her? I’m surprised people didn’t think she was lying with all the previous stuff. Why didn’t they write her off after one series, did we not suffer enough?

There’s so much that doesn’t make sense but the first 2 series until Lorna’s death, every scene gets ruined by her. She’s that character who fills you with rage every time. I guess there’s a reason why I never watched them much.
