When one half of Secret Weapons, Gerry Lyme, had to retire from live gigging owing to Lyme disease, the other half decided to go solo. He’s called Danny Rocco, and yes he really is called Des Rocs because of it.
There’s been a string of great Eps, with no bad songs yet, and he’s producing a fresh rock n roll. While too many US acts (Des is in New York) simply produce rock pastiches, Des sounds fresh but still familiar.
We’ve got two quality tunes today, Used to the Darkness and recent smash Suicide Romantics.
