Having transformed how we watch tv and film, Netflix decided in 2021 to get into gaming. Perhaps an odd decision, but in 2022 they found the studio Team Blue.

Setting out to make an AAA game on a new IP, they recruited some big talent: “You don’t get people like [Chacko Sonny, Overwatch Exec Producer] coming to your organisation to build the next big thing in gaming unless there’s a sense that we’re really in it for the long haul,” the head of gaming said.

He has now left, as have other big hires, and Gamefile reports Netflix have axed the studio without ever releasing a game.
