As media bosses around the world search for the next Bohemian Rhapsody and Rocketman, Netflix are the leaders in a bidding battle for a biopic of legendary rock band KISS. Yes, the four with their skin tight outfits and painted faces are set to have their youth immortalised in film.
Given that the band were famed for their excess, it’s interesting to see that both Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS are working with the movie team, and that it’s still looking to be completely filthy. Great entertainment.
Burn of the day comes from NME, however, who reported on this with the zinger: “Similarly, Stanley – considered largely as a sex-symbol at the peak of the band’s success…” Ouch!
