Netflix Needs To Stop splitting Seasons In Two Parts by Lee McShane

Wednesday season 2 was dropped on the 6th August 2025 but unlike the previous series, we only received half the episodes with the rest being released on the 3rd September. Why?

What sense does that make? I could understand a weekly release like Amazon Prime does with its shows, but releasing half a season one month and the other half the next is bizarre.

And it is not the first time they have been guilty of this. Stranger Things Season 4 was given the exact same treatment with a two-month break between the releases and for the upcoming season, it will be split into three!!!!!

I understand wanting to leave the viewers wanting to wait but surely this would make sense with a weekly release?

It makes no sense to release them in stages like that. If it’s about high ratings then again, weekly releases would guarantee that the numbers are higher for a longer period of time.

How should they move forward? Well, one of two ways.

1. Stick to the OG plan and bulk release them.
2. Weekly releases of each episode
