America’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame abandoned long ago the concept of keeping it just to rock and roll, which is why one of this year’s class of inductees is Wu Tang Clan.
However it did take them a while to open the concept to British acts, with none until 2021.
2026 therefore sees one form of UK rock enter: Oasis. There’s also Iron Maiden, a combined Joy Division and New Order, as well as Phil Collins and others.
We don’t expect the Gallagher brothers to be outwardly thrilled.
