Call of Duty: Warzone is essentially a game about running round shooting other people online. This brings out the best of people in terms of lightning reflexes and group strategy, but also brings out the worst as people cheat. But how extensive is the cheating? Activision and Raven Software have revealed that since launch, they’ve now banned over half a million accounts for doing it.
We’ve always known they do waves of culling, with tweets saying 30,000 accounts or more being axed coming out… but half a million! Cheaters have taken to hacking into existing player accounts, flogging that to death, and moving on when that’s banned.
Banned over 30,000 malicious accounts across Call of Duty yesterday… bringing us to over half a million accounts banned in #Warzone. /p>— Raven Software (@RavenSoftware) May 14, 2021
