Evidently David Gilmore has the rights to release things under Pink Floyd, because he’s just teamed up with a Ukrainian musician who returned home to fight in the war in order to raise humanitarian funds.
Called ‘Hey Hey Rise Up’, it’s under the official Pink Floyd moniker and features both a Gilmore guitar solo, and Andriy Khlyvnyuk of Boombox (aka the guy currently in hospital recovering from Russian inflicted injuries) handling the vocals. Gilmore wrote the music and “I played a little on the phone and he gave me his blessing. We both hope to do something together in person in the future,” he said.
Just to make it clear, all proceeds go to humanitarian support.
